Pilates is a full-spectrum method of excercise that  teaches you what integration feels like in your body. Whether you want to get in shape, or are looking to find a powerful way to manage pain and joint problems, Pilates may be your next best paradigm for true fitness. The use of specialized equipment helps tone muscles, as well as balance muscular forces at the joint level and stimulate circulation by facilitating muscular flexibility, join range of motion, and proper alignment. All of these attributes combine to prevent injury and to reduce, or eliminate, chronic pain.

Integrative Fitness is a form of movement education created by Stefan Knight that includes hands-on bodywork techniques and exercises designed to re-pattern individual joint function and more system-wide conflicts in motor control in the body by learning to listen, to understand, and to communicate in the language of the “movement brain." Stefan Knight offers immersive trainings designed to provide a deeper framework for practitioners to draw from, to bring more rehabilitative and transformative power to their work with clients. Rolfing® Structural Integration is a philosophy that works with soft tissue and joint mobilization coupled with perception-based movement education designed to release chronic strain patterns in the body and nervous system, thereby relieving pain and stress. Rolfing® has an extraordinary ability to improve your posture, structure, and overall physical and mental energy. Rolfing® creates a more efficient use of the muscles, conserves energy through better coordination, increases balance, and generates a sense of flow in the body and mind. Learn more about our Ten-Series, in which we work together to systematically balance and optimize the structure and function of your body over the course of ten sessions.

Redcord® suspension training is a fun and challenging exercise for fitness, athletic performance, and physical rehabilitation. By leveraging your body weight against gravity, you learn movements to help build exceptional core stability and muscle control. Redcord® also utilizes bungee cords in a series of excercises to assist with movement and increased range of motion. We find many clients are capable of achieving lasting core foundation in less with Redcord, when compared with conventional training methods.

 

FIVE-ELEMENT ACUPUNCTURE

Five-Element Acupuncture is an integrated system of acupuncture that works to first remove blocks to treatment through various acupuncture protocols. Once clear, treatment begins, and nature guides the practitioner through his or her senses to maximize your energy and overall health. The practitioner supports nature and the body in doing what it does best: to heal.

 

CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY

55 MINUTES $125 | 75 MINUTES $150 | 90 MINUTES $175

Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body, relieving pain and dysfunction, and improving whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams —about the weight of a nickel—practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.

 

  ZERO BALANCING

55 MINUTES $125 | 75 MINUTES $150 | 90 MINUTES $175

Zero Balancing focuses primarily on key joints of your skeleton that conduct and balance forces of gravity, posture, and movement. By addressing the deepest and densest tissues of the body, along with the softer tissue and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps to clear blocks in the body’s energy flow, amplify vitality, and contribute to better postural alignment.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage Therapy alleviates pain, reduces post surgery adhesions and swelling, helps stimulate immune system modulation, and reduces depression and anxiety. Additionally, one can expect more restful sleep, fewer muscle cramps and spasms,better energy, and improved concentration. Massage also provides emotional balance that can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS®

GYROTONIC
® & GYROKINESIS® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling and circular movements that flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetition with corresponding breath. Each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring, or compression. These carefully-crafted, and healing, sequences create balance, efficiency, strength, and flexibility.

LIFE COUNSELING WITH JENNIFER KNIGHT

55 MINUTES $200
One-on-one counseling sessions are tailored to meet your individuals needs. Together, we examine your lifestyle and health habits, and then develop step-by-step strategies to embrace a happy, healthy life full of energy and vitality. Clients who experience the most measurable transformation generally make a 6-month commitment to a program that includes stress-reduction techniques, nutritional support, and a system of accountability. Session are in-person, via phone, or Skype. Jennifer Knight offers an initial complimentary 50-minute consultation to prospective clients. Learn more about her practice.

 

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE CONSULTATION WITH STEFAN KNIGHT

90 MINUTES $200 (initial) | 55 MINUTES $150

Functional Medicine addresses underlying causes of disease using a systems-oriented approach that engages both client and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. By shifting the focus from traditional disease-centered to a more patient-centered approach, Functional Medicine addresses the whole person, and not an isolated set of symptoms. In a series of sessions, we will explore your health history and current challenges, examining the interaction between hereditary and genetic factors, environmental and lifestyle influences. Stefan Knight's Functional Medicine practice also incorporates functional nutrition, hands-on bodywork and Integrative Fitness™, when appropriate. Learn more about his practice.

Stefan Knight
OWNER & PRACTITIONER
 

Stefan's first step toward becoming a Wellness Practitioner was as a personal trainer with a special interest in rehabilitative exercise. He went on to train and receive a Masters Pilates Certification and the prestigious designation of Certified Advanced Rolfer from the Rolf Institute. Stefan incorporates other techniques such as Neural mobilization, Cranio-Sacral, Zero Balancing and osteopathic manual therapy—in his healing collaborative work with clients. A lifelong learner, he has most recently trained in Functional Medicine. Stefan also is a graduate of Bentley University.

A happy, healthy mother of two boys, Jennifer specializes in helping mothers nourish themselves so they are able to raise happy, healthy families. Her individualized work with pre-natal and postpartum clients supports their nutritional, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. She graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she focused on innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and dietary theories, from Ayurveda, Gluten-Free, Paleo, raw, vegan, to macrobiotic and beyond. Daryl Owens
GYROTONICS® & PILATES

Daryl has been a core member our of team for nine years. She completed her Pilates training with Stefan Knight and The Pilates Center in Boulder. She fell in love with GYROTONICS® while on her honeymoon on Maui, and returned home to pursue GYROTONICS® and GYROKINESIS® certifications under master trainers Billy Macagnone and Lisa Marie Goodwin-Rice.  Prior to moving to the Vineyard, Daryl trained as dancer at the North Carolina School for the Arts, and danced | choreographed in NYC.

Lucia Hayman
PILATES

Lucia is a life-long athlete—swimming, riding, tennis—and a former personal trainer. She discovered the work of Joseph Pilates and fell fast  in love with the strength, focus and attention to breathe that was required. She completed her training her on MV and at the Pilates Centers in Boulder and San Francisco. In addition, Lucia is a certified yoga teacher, private chef, and health coach.

ZERO BALANCING

Ty mastered his studies of Classical Five-Element Acupunture at the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture, where he is now a flex-time instructor. His extensive background in Asian Bodywork Therapies (Qi Kung Massage, Zen Shiatzu Acupressure, and Jin Shin Do) led him to pursue certification in Zero Balancing. He practices both Acupunture and Zero Balancing here in the center, separately, but with equal finesse and success!

Jan Hulka, M.S.
CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY

Jan is a gifted Cranio-Sacral Therapist who received advanced levels of Cranio-Sacral Therapy training at the world-reknowned Upledger Institute in Florida. He works with clients of all ages and diagnoses, and draws from his background in physical therapy, Shiatsu, Reiki and other modalities to complement his Cranio-Sacral practice.

Sheryl first came to Pilates as a student to help her through a physical healing crisis. This experience inspired her to study and master Pilates with the intention of helping others move without fear, pain, and tension. She has been a Pilates instructor since 2007, and is a graduate of the Kathy Grant Heritage Training program. She is a member of Pilates Method Alliance and regularly attends continuing education workshops with internationally reknowned instructors. Sheryl is also a Redcord Active Specialist.

Camilla Alexander, LMT, BCST
MASSAGE THERAPY
CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY

Camilla specializes in therapeutic and deep relaxation massage and CranioSacral Therapies. Her work focuses on supporting the central nervous system to create ease in the body. She also incorporates neuro-muscular and trigger point therapy, and brings a rich combination of knowledge, experience, and perceptual skills to her practice. Camilla trained and graduated Boulder College of Massage Therapy, CO School of Energy Studies, and Naropa University.

THE BODY

The foundation of my practice is based on the principles of Rolfing® Structural Integration, a form of hands-on soft tissue and joint mobilization therapy and re-education designed to restore normal motion and function in the body. Clients experience this work as deep, yet gentle, focused, and specific to the treatment of both acute and/or chronic pain. When appropriate to the individual's healing process, I incorporate other hands-on modalities like Neural Mobilization and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.

 

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

Increasingly, I am incorporating a Functional Medicine framework to support clients with underlying health challenges including nutritional deficiencies, toxicity overload, immune disregulation, gastro-intestinal problems, and hormone imbalances. Functional Medicine, in brief, is a systems-oriented approach that engages both practitioner and client in a therapeutic partnership. By shifting the focus from a traditional disease-centered approach to a more patient-centered approach, we work together to address the whole person, and not an isolated set of symptoms.

 

INTEGRATIVE FITNESS

Integrative Fitness is a proprietary blend of rehabilitative exercise, perception-and orientation-based movement re-education and hands-on techniques that I developed to support health and fitness goals. I believe exercise rekindles the joy of movement and increases confidence in our relationship with our body. I'm happy to share more about this in session.

 

INTEGRATIVE FITNESS IMMERSIVE TRAININGS FOR HEALTH & FITNESS PRACTITIONERS

I offer an 80-hour Advanced Certification Program in Integrative Fitness for those in the health and fitness field who wish to expand their scope of practice. This training combines elements of Pilates, Somatic Movement Therapy, Body-Mind Centering concepts, Physical Therapy exercises and elements of yoga. Learn more here.
