Carissa Floyd


Carissa Floyd, a licensed and insured Certified Massage Therapist was trained at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (considered the Harvard of all massage schools). As a massage practitioner and a regular recipient, she has experienced the powerful role that massage therapy plays in preventative health care, stress reduction, and injury rehabilitation.

Carissa’s specialty is Normalization of Soft Tissue. Developed by a team of highly skilled instructors at BCMT, this form of therapeutic massage helps treat areas affected by postural dysfunction, repetitive stress, and traumatic injuries. The key objectives of the treatment are alleviation of pain, increase in range of motion, and the improvement and restoration of joint and tissue function. Techniques include myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, and cross fiber friction.
